Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pantry app and website (heypantry.app), operated by Koba Labs LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Pantry, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain how we handle your information.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Pantry. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• Notify us immediately at team@heypantry.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Pantry is a subscription service ("Pantry Premium"). Subscription details:

• Pricing – $9.99/month or $29.99/year in the United States; the app shows the price in your local currency before you buy. Prices may change with notice.
• Free trial – New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the price shown in the app, charged to your Apple ID.
• Billing – Subscriptions are billed through Apple in-app purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal – Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation – Manage or cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued.
• Refunds – Refund requests are handled by Apple per their standard policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Pantry for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
• Use the app to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from Pantry without permission

5. AI-Generated Content

Pantry uses artificial intelligence to generate meal suggestions, macro estimates, and nutrition information. This content is provided for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice. AI-generated results may be inaccurate. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet.

Allergies. Diet and allergen labels are generated from each recipe's listed ingredients and may be incomplete or wrong. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, always check ingredients yourself and do not rely on Pantry.

Health conditions. Pantry is a general wellness tool, not a medical device, and does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating, talk to a healthcare provider before following calorie or weight targets.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding in Pantry is owned by Koba Labs LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of Pantry without our prior written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you create or upload (meal logs, pantry items, photos). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process and display it solely to provide the service to you.

7. DMCA Copyright Policy

Pantry respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe content in Pantry infringes your copyright, please send a written notice of claimed infringement to our designated agent containing the following:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or person authorized to act on their behalf)
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
• Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it
• Your contact information (address, phone, email)
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

You may also submit a counter-notice if you believe content was removed in error; we will follow the procedures outlined in 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Pantry is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Koba Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Pantry, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or health-related outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by emailing team@heypantry.app. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it in iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Upon termination, your right to use Pantry ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

12. App Store Terms

If you downloaded Pantry from Apple's App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Koba Labs LLC only, not Apple. Koba Labs LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for Pantry and its content.
• Your license to use the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"): a non-transferable license to use Pantry on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules. If the Standard EULA and these Terms conflict about that license, the Standard EULA controls.
• Koba Labs LLC is solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any.
• If Pantry fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses or costs from a failure to conform to a warranty are Koba Labs LLC's responsibility.
• Koba Labs LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Pantry or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that Pantry fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
• If a third party claims that Pantry or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Koba Labs LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms, such as your wireless data agreement, when using Pantry.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.

13. YouTube Content

Pantry's Discover tab uses YouTube API Services to show public recipe videos. By using Discover, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. See Google's Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email. Your continued use of Pantry after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
